Collegedale Officials Move Forward with Plans for Collegedale Commons’ Party Barn

(WDEF) Collegedale officials work to make Collegedale Commons a reality.
That’s a planned multi-purpose development similar to the Chattanooga Market.
One of the newest plans will be a Party Barn space that can be used for weddings or large meetings with seating space for up to 550 people.
The Party Barn will be part of the second phase of development, to be finished sometime in 2017.
Phase one is a farmer’s market that officials hope will be finished by the spring of 2016.
Kelly Martin works on Planning & Economic Development Coordinator for the city of Collegedale.  He said, "A lot of folks have said that’s exactly what we need, and we envision this to be not only value for the city of Collegedale but also for Hamilton County.  It’s really a needed space on this end of the county."
The city of Collegedale will be working in partnership with Collegedale Tomorrow on the project.
An anonymous donor made the purchase of the eight acres for Collegedale Commons possible.
