CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. (WDEF) — A private airplane slid off a runway on Friday in Andrews, North Carolina. Aboard that plane was comedian Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias, who documented his experience.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said an aircraft ran off the end of the runway at the Western Carolina Regional Airport just before 1 p.m.

Authorities said the craft was a 1987 Gulfstream, N924MB.

Officials explained the plane had difficulty coming to a stop. The sheriff’s office was unsure why but noted the area had been experiencing heavy rainfall.

The plane slid roughly 600 feet off the end of the runway.

No one was injured, Valleytown Fire and Rescue reported.

Iglesias posted a video to Instagram after the incident with the following caption:

“Emergency landing!!! Our private jet skid off the runway and wound up in a field in Andrews, N. Carolina. Everyone is ok but shaken up. Happy to be alive. I love u all.”
