CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Set to Open Soon
Ringgold, GA.(WDEF)-CommonSpirit – Memorial Hospital – North Georgia is just days away from opening its doors to patients.
“It has been a long time coming—we are so excited,” said Ronelle Sellers, Market Director of Marketing and Communications. “We are extremely excited. Opening day is just four days away.”
The new hospital is bringing expanded healthcare options to the region, offering everything from state-of-the-art operating rooms to new medical specialties, including breast surgery and orthopedic surgery—services that will allow many patients to receive advanced care closer to home.
For patients with mobility challenges, the hospital is also introducing an improved bariatric lift, designed to enhance safety and dignity while reducing physical strain on staff.
“That bariatric lift will actually lift the patient out of the bed, travel along the track, and set them down onto the commode, then later pick them back up and return them to the bed,” Sellers explained. “In the past, it’s taken three or four staff members. Now, one or two will be able to safely help the patient.”
Beyond physical upgrades, the hospital is equipped with the latest medical technology, creating a more connected and seamless experience for patients throughout their stay.
“We also have screens where patients can be updated on their care,” Sellers said. “They’ll be able to watch movies, order their breakfast, lunch, or dinner, control the temperature of the room, raise and lower the blinds, and even turn the lights on and off—all from their bed.”
Hospital leaders say these innovations are part of a broader effort to combine advanced care with comfort and convenience.
With its official opening just days away, CommonSpirit – Memorial Hospital – North Georgia says it’s ready to serve patients across North Georgia and the Tennessee Valley, ushering in a new chapter of healthcare for the region.
