Community discusses Lincoln Park renovations

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Lincoln Park community met this afternoon to discuss the upcoming park renovations.

The Chattanooga City council approved $2 million in the new budget to make this happen.

City councilmen Anthony Byrd hosted the meeting at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist to gather ideas and get the community excited about the changes.

Councilmen Russell Gilbert and Erskine Oglesby were in attendance as well as other city employees to answer questions about what is next for the area.

Byrd made a passionate plea to those present for them to go into this conversation with an open mind, so that they can make progress in a positive direction.
