Corgis celebrate parade tradition in St. Elmo

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Over 100 corgis lined up for a parade down the streets of St. Elmo on Saturday afternoon.

Owners could register their corgi for free and enter them into the parade.
Prizes were given out from “oldest corgi” to “best dressed.”

The parade was founded back in 1999 and has evolved to the popular event it is today.

“You know I’m just shocked that people are coming from Savannah, Nashville, Knoxville, all over Chattanooga. People are coming the night before and camping. You know, it’s just amazing how it’s blossomed. And corgi’s are fun and silly … and I see so many smiles,” Founder of the Corgi Parade Bob Wright said.
The second annual “Hello, St. Elmo!” festival hosted vendors and businesses alongside the corgis in attendance.
The parade followed with live music and activities for friends and family.
