The two suspects were traveling in a red Nissan Pathfinder, according to police.

On June 3, a man and woman broke into a married couple’s car and stole their bank cards and $400 in cash, police said. The break-in happened at the Dalton Golf and Country Club.

Officers said the suspects used those cards to make purchases in Dalton and Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The victims got to the country club around 1:30 p.m. Later that day, one victim’s employer called to ask if they were using their company card to make purchases at Walmart.

They then went outside to find their cars had been broken into, according to the police department.

Police said the two victims checked with their bank and credit card companies to find that the suspects attempted several fraudulent charges on their cards. The charges, which were attempted at a Walmart on Shugart Road, totaled up to more than $900.

The credit card companies declined those charges.

However, the suspects made successful purchases at the Fort Oglethorpe Walmart with different cards. Those purchases totaled to more than $900 as well.

Surveillance cameras at the stores show images of the couple and the vehicle they were traveling in.

The police department asks anyone who recognizes the suspects, or has other information, to contact Detective John Edwards. You can reach him at 706-278-9085, extension 9-152.
