CPA Defeats Boyd Buchanan 35-13 For State Title
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) CPA defeated Boyd Buchanan 35-13 for the Division II-AA state title game on Thursday at Finley Stadium. Lions scored on their first series. On a 4th and one, Crews Law got outside and raced to the end zone for a 73 yard touchdown. Bucs cut the lead to 7-3 with a field goal early in the second quarter, but CPA put two more touchdowns on the board before halftime to make it 21-3 at the break. The lead quickly went to 28-3 as CPA scored on their first series in the third quarter. Brodie Lowe scored the Bucs only touchdown on a one yard plunge in the third quarter. Bucs were trying to capture their first state title since 2003.
It was the third state crown for CPA in six years.
