CPD finds body of victim in homicide investigation

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has found the body of a woman involved in a recent homicide investigation.

On August 19, 2024, at 9:48 a.m, CPD responded to a call about a possible missing person in the 300 block of Crestway Drive.

After talking to a witness, officers suspected a homicide and brought in the Homicide Unit to investigate.

The missing woman, 33-year-old Brooke Killings, was last seen on August 17, 2024, at Diamond Billiards.

A witness told police that her boyfriend, Demarcus Napier, said he had killed her.

Video footage showed them leaving Diamond Billiards together in a Volkswagen Atlas, and phone data confirmed Ms. Killings’ phone traveled to the Crestway Drive residence.

Ms. Killings’ family informed detectives that Napier had a history of domestic violence with her.

After getting a search warrant, police found blood in several places inside the residence, leading them to believe she suffered a fatal injury.

Police believe Napier used the Volkswagen Atlas to move her body from the house to an unknown location.

Napier was arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

He is currently being held in Hamilton County Jail.

On August 21, 2024, police found Ms. Killings’ remains off Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia.

The investigation is still ongoing, and more details may be released.
