60-year-old Calvin Harkness injured in Cannon Ave shooting
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have identified the victim in the Cannon Ave shooting.
60-year-old Calvin Harkness suffered from non life-threatening injuries after an unidentified suspect shot him Wednesday evening.
Officers received a call around 3:15 pm that a person had been shot in the 2800 block of Cannon Ave.
PIO Rob Simmons says at arrival, the victim was treated for shot wounds and transported by HCEMS to a local hospital.
Later CPD released a statement saying Harkness advised that a unknown suspect entered his home and shot him.
There is little information on what happened, but police are questioning witnesses. A suspect has yet to be determined.
Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525. Those with details regarding the incident have the choice to remain anonymous.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
