CPD investigating after pedestrian struck on Awtry St

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck in the 2400 block of  Awtry Street around 10 am Saturday morning.

According to Chattanooga Police, a male was laying in the road after reportedly being struck by a vehicle.

Chattanooga Police say that a suspect vehicle was not on the scene when the police arrived.

Police say they able to determine that the pedestrian was travelling south on Awtry Street when the pedestrian was reportedly struck by a white Dodge pickup truck.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and is considered in critical condition.
