CPD K9s Get 3 New Bullet Proof Vests

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Some four-legged Chattanooga officers get some much needed protective equipment.

The River Vet Emergency Clinic raised money for inVEST in K9.

The clinic sold Christmas ornaments.

InVEST in K9’s mission is to get all K9 dogs fitted with bullet proof vests.

The Chattanooga Police Department got three new vests for their animal officers Tuesday.

InVEST in K9 Founder Robin Scott says, "I just ask for the public’s help to be able to cover more dogs. It’s a beginning, and we need to keep it going."

The vests cost $985 each.
