CPD teams handle successful standoff on Bunch Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police (CPD) teams handled a standoff on Friday night without any injuries.

Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) ended the standoff on Bunch Street.

Officers were trying to serve an outstanding carjacking warrant on 40-year-old Teezo Boyd at a home in the 5700 block of Bunch Street just after 7:00 p.m.

Boyd responded to this by slamming the door and refusing orders to come out of the house.

SWAT and HNT were called, and after a three-hour standoff, they successfully convinced Boyd to exit.

Boyd was taken into custody for his outstanding warrant and booked at the Hamilton County Jail.
