CPD works to put out woods fire in Red Bank

 

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Fire Department fought a vegetation fire next to a power line cut out in Red Bank at the 400 block of Reads Lake Road.

The call for a woods fire came in at 5:36 P.M. on Monday.

It was a tough operation as crews had to drag hoses up a large, steep hill to gain access to the fire.

Fire officials at the scene estimate that a quarter of an acre burned.

There are no injuries or structural endangerment at this time.
