Crabtree Farms celebrates 25 years in the heart of Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Crabtree Farms is celebrating 25 years of education, food access and sustainable agriculture in the heart of Chattanooga.
The non-profit organization and community farm welcomes locals to shop, eat, learn and immerse themselves in an agricultural environment that is, most times, forgotten about within bigger cities.
This weekend is their 23rd annual spring plant sales, which is one of their major fundraisers for the year.
There will be vendors, local artisans, musicians and food at the weekend festival.
“This nonprofit organization has been around for 25 years, and the whole time, it’s been committed to connecting folks through food and education and learning and growing together. It’s really humbling to be a part of such a long-lasting, and I think, really deep legacy in Chattanooga,” said Lena Banks, Crabtree Farms director of development and communication.
