Crabtree Farms celebrates 25th birthday on Saturday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A local farm in the middle of urban Chattanooga celebrated its 25th birthday on Saturday.

Crabtree Farms has been open since 1998 and has welcomed many people throughout the years.

This celebration was held in honor of 25 years of farming, learning, and cultivating community.

The rustic farm hosted games and activities for families and friends Saturday from 3-8 p.m.

The event was free and open to the public.

“I think it has always been dedicated to regenerative agriculture and community building. That’s really our focus now is having people, our neighbors, immediate and further away neighbors, feel like this is their farm. So we love having people here,” Events and Administration Coordinator at Crabtree Farms Meghan Lewis said.

Lewis said there is a robust volunteer program with the farm where people can learn about the environment through their greenhouses.

There is also a farm stand that will be open until the weekend of November 17-18.
