Creative Discovery Museum is Bringing a little Seoul to Chattanooga
The regional debut of the exhibit kicks off January 16, but a few guests were allowed to come explore the "Korean Wave" a few days early. "Kids can come up if they’re here at the museum," said public relations coordinator, Curtis Jolley, "Just to kind of test out any bugs, if they exist, that need a bit of tweaking. You know, we can see those problems."
The exhibit was developed as a part of the Freeman Foundation Asian Culture Exhibit Series, in order to educate people in the community about various Asian cultures.
"When I came in here yesterday I looked around, I felt like I was in Korea. It was so fun and so exciting," said Cathy Palisoc, a born and raised Korean. Creative Discovery Museum hired Palisoc to help build a relationship with the Korean community in Chattanooga.
The exhibit offers Tae-kwan-do lessons, an animation studio where kids can draw their own cartoons and even a display of the finest Korean cuisine. The Heart and Seoul exhibit wraps up May 15.
