Crossville, Alabama man arrested for shooting into home
DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WDEF) — The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Crossville man for shooting into an occupied home.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old Jose Guadalupe Perez, and they believe he was the shooter.
The shooting happened on Thursday, June 13 at around 4:15 p.m., the sheriff’s office said. It happened at a home on County Road 386.
The sheriff’s office searched the home after one victim fled the scene.
There, deputies found “a sizeable amount” of meth and a handgun. They also found nine shell casings, five of which hit the house.
Perez’s charges include five counts of discharging a firearm into a building and two counts of menacing.
“We are so thankful this act of recklessness didn’t take an innocent life,” said Sheriff Nick Welden.
