Crutchfield St. House Fire Ruled Arson
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – There has been another twist in the feel-good house fire story from last week.
Chattanooga police officers rescued a family that was trapped behind security bars in their home on Crutchfield Street.
Now investigators say last Thursday’s fire was intentionally set.
Officials aren’t saying why they think it is arson.
But they are asking the public’s help to solve the case.
If you have any information, call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017.
They are offering up to a $1,500 cash reward.
24 year old Edward Jackson was taken to the burn center in Augusta, Georgia with second and third degree burns to his hands and forearms.
Fire officials say he will soon return to the hospital for more treatment.
