Dade Co. Sheiriff’s Office and Bikers Toy Fundraise
Bikers and toys usually don’t mix, but the Dade County Sheriff’s Department’s Toy Ride brings out who you’d normally view as the baddest of the bad to do a little good.
Each biker brought a toy or monetary donation in exchange for food and a bike ride.
Last year they had around 50 bikers, but this year more than 100 showed up.
Sheriff Ray Cross says they started the toy ride three years ago to bring in even more donations for their Christmas Fundraiser.
"We’ve had our hope for the holidays which helps us raise money in the county for needy families that at Christmas time they don’t have the money to buy presents and stuff we raise that money and this is just another way that we use throughout the year to raise money for that cause," said Sheriff Cross.
