Free cone day at Dairy Queen is returning on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

All Chattanooga area Dairy Queen locations are welcoming warmer weather with the return of a classic vanilla soft serve cone.

They say guests can dip their cone for $1, with 100% of dip proceeds supporting local children and families in need through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The tradition began in 2015 and last year, Dairy Queen gave away 5 million free cones.
