Dallas Bay garage fire

Dallas Bay, TN (WDEF) – Dallas Bay Volunteer Firefighters responded to a fully involved garage fire on West Ridge Trail Road Thursday night.

Motorists reported a large fire that could be seen for miles around 6:30 p.m.

Firefighters asked for assistance from other fire departments because the fire was 2 miles off Daisy Dallas Road, and they needed additional water tender engines for more water.

The owner Rusty O’Daniel’s neighbor told him that his garage/storage building was on fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

There were no reported injuries, and damage is estimated at $150,000.

O’Daniel was not insured.
