Dalton councilman Crews upset, Covid vaccine supporter Harlan wins re-election
DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – There was one upset in the Dalton City elections on Tuesday.
Former state senator Steve Farrow unseat city councilman Gary Crews in a close vote.
Farrow won by just 43 votes.
Also, Incumbent Annalee Harlan easily won a second term on the council.
She got attention outside the city by pushing drive-thru Covid vaccines at the Convention Center and making Dalton the first city in the state to provide the Regeneron monoclonal antibody treatment.
“Words can not express the gratitude I have for the amount of support I received tonight to be your voice on the Dalton City Council. Thank you so much! Tonight’s victory is a statement that Dalton cares about the issues, that we are a city of excellence and we rejected hate soundly. I look forward to continuing the work on the council as we continue the progress Dalton has been making. Thank you again and let’s continue to work to make an even brighter future for Dalton for years to come.”
