Dalton approves contractor for Temple Beth-El Memorial Park

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Dalton city council has moved forward with building new Memorial in the city.

They have approved a contractor for the Temple Beth-El memorial Park.

The park will be built at the site of the former Temple Beth-El synagogue on Valley Drive.

It will include marker exhibits honoring the impact that Jewish residents have made on the community.

The displays will be centered around a pond.

The former synagogue was donated to the city in 2024.

City leaders say it should be completed within three months after the construction begins.
