Dalton fire evacuate around propane tank after lightning strike
8:30 Update:
Dalton police have reopened boulevard around the plant. A fire crew is staying at the scene while the propane burns off, but all other emergency personal have left. The surrounding plants will be allowed to reopen for 3rd shift.

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton fire crews have responded to a lightning scare at a local plant.
They believe the lightning hit a release valve for a propane tank at a plant at the end of Brookhollow Industrial Boulevard.
You can see a flame shooting from the top of the valve.
But officials report there was no explosion.
Fire officials have evacuated a 800 meter area around the pipe as a precaution.
And they are letting the material burn off.
No one has been injured.
