Dalton Not Bringing Back Head Football Coach Kit Carpenter

Dalton high school has announced they are not bringing back head coach Kit Carpenter.

Said Dalton Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Steven Craft:”Dalton Public Schools has made the decision to move forward with new leadership by making a change in the head football coaching position. Kit Carpenter will not be returning for the 2025-26 football season. We appreciate his years of dedication and service to our program.”

The Catamounts went 0-10 this season for the first time in Dalton’s long history.

Carpenter is a Dalton grad, who spent several years on the Catamounts staff before taking over as head coach in 2021.
