UPDATE: GPS Athletic Director suspected for prostitution sting resigns

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – As of this afternoon, Stacey Hill resigned from his position as GPS Athletic Director. An interim athletic director will be announced early next week.

GPS responded that this is a legal matter between Mr. Hill and the Dalton, Georgia Authorities, and it would not be appropriate for GPS to comment further.


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – After Dalton Police released a list of suspects for a prostitution sting in the working area, it became aware that one name on the list belonged to a a Chattanooga Girls Preparatory School employee. Since then, a statement has been released from the school.

“The GPS administration has recently become aware of misdemeanor charges that have been brought by the Dalton Police Department against Athletic Director Stacey Hill. We are in the process of gathering information surrounding the incident that has been reported. Per school policy in matters such as this, Mr. Hill has been temporarily relieved of his duties, both on campus and off.  At the present time, this is a legal matter between Mr. Hill and the Dalton, GA authorities, and it would not be appropriate for GPS to comment further.”


DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton Police conducted a prostitution sting Wednesday night.

Detectives say they have gotten complaints about prostitutes working in the area.

So Wednesday evening, an undercover officer posed as a prostitute for the operation.

They place an ad online and clients agreed to meet at an apartment in dalton.

Officers charged eight “Johns” with misdemeanor pandering.

The suspects are:

Miguel Jarquin-Ordaz of Dalton
