Dalton Police investigating fatal crash Saturday afternoon

Dalton, Georgia (WDEF) – A fatal three-vehicle crash occurred in Dalton on the South Bypass, near Sawgrass Drive, Saturday afternoon.

Officials say the driver of a black Ford Mustang was traveling south, when the vehicle crossed into the other lane.

It hit a 2004 Chevy Silverado truck head on, while a third vehicle was also caught up in the crash.

Dalton Police say the driver of the Mustang was not wearing a seat belt and was killed.

Two people in the Silverado were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The third passenger was taken to Hamilton Medical Center.

Investigation is still ongoing.
