Dalton Police Looking to Identify Suspect of Hit and Run
DALTON, Ga. — The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify who was driving a car that struck a parked vehicle before leaving the scene.
At approximately 1:20 pm, a red Dodge Challenger entered the Walmart parking lot at 815 Shugart Road and pulled into a parking spot next to a red Kia K4, according to the City of Dalton.
They say the Challenger scraped by the driver’s side of the Kia, causing damage.
The investigating officer says the driver of the Challenger then got out of the vehicle and appeared to inspect the damage and did not go inside of the store.
Approximately 15 minutes later, a dark green or black Chevy Camaro arrived at the scene.
The driver of the Camaro exited and then got into the Challenger and then drove it away from the scene.
