Dalton Police searching for fatal shooting suspect

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF)-Dalton police are asking for the public’s help with identifying the suspect of a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened outside of the Oyster Pub on Market Street.

Dalton police say that there was a fight inside of the bar and it led to an argument outside in the parking lot.

That’s when shots were fired and 28 year old Rashad Goldston of Cleveland, Tennessee was hit in the back while he was inside of his vehicle.

Police say that Goldston tried to drive away but crashed his car a short distance away.

When police arrived on scene, they found the victims car on it’s side and a nurse who was on the scene treating the victim.

The suspect had already left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he passed away.
