Dalton Police searching for woman who committed theft from bank
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — Dalton Police are searching for a woman who stole $7,000 from a bank. The woman used stolen bank information and a fake ID to commit the theft.
Police said the theft occurred on November 30, 2022. But the bank’s fraud investigators only reported the theft this month.
It happened at the North Glenwood Avenue branch of Truist, police said.
She withdrew the money from another person’s account with their bank information and a fraudulent ID.
However, the bank reimbursed the stolen funds to the victim.
The victim told police she does not know the suspect or how her bank information was stolen.
The Dalton Police Department is searching for the woman in the photos.
They are asking that anyone who can help identify the woman contacts Detective Ben Ridley. He can be reached at 706-278-9085, extension 9-122.
