Dalton road resurfacing project begins July 16
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — Four separate roads in Dalton will undergo resurfacing starting Tuesday, July 16. There will be a total of 8.5 miles resurfaced in Dalton.
The Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant resurfacing project will begin Tuesday with work on Tibbs Road.
Tibbs Road will be resurfaced from Walnut Avenue to Shugart Road.
Once Tibbs Road is complete, crews will begin work on Abutment Road, Tony Ingle Parkway and Glenwood Avenue. These roads will be resurfaced at night.
Abutment Road will be resurfaced between State Route 3 and Walnut Avenue.
Glenwood Avenue will be resurfaced between Walnut Avenue and the Dalton Bypass.
The City of Dalton said Northwest Georgia Paving, Inc. is the project’s contractor.
Crews will be redirecting traffic around the roadwork.
