MORE: Investigators were still at the crime scene late Friday evening on Snow Cone Way, which is near Ooltewah Elementary School.

We are learning more about Lee’s past, as he has also had his share of previous legal troubles.

According to court records from Franklin County, Ohio, he had been charged with domestic violence and assault.

However, these cases were dismissed early last year due to a plea deal.

He however had been ordered to stay away from the victims in that case.

He is currently being held on no bond at the Hamilton County Jail, and is due in court on Wednesday.

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — Darron Lee, former Ohio State football player, who was also drafted by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft, has been arrested on first degree murder charges.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says deputies were dispatched to a residence at the 7500 block of Snow Cone Way to a report of CPR in progress.

They say first responders located a female victim and attempted life-saving measures, however it was determined she was deceased.

Due to the condition of the victim and the residence, HCSO Criminal Investigative Services Detectives responded.

Preliminary findings indicate the victim’s death was the result of a homicide, HCSO says.

The victim’s boyfriend, Darron Lee, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody at the scene.

Lee faces the following charges:

• First-Degree Murder
• Tampering with Evidence

They say the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

This information is preliminary and subject to change.
