Deadbird Studio Opens to Public
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – It’s a hidden piece of Chattanooga’s music history, now stepping into the spotlight.
Once a secret recording space known only to insiders, Deadbird Studio has officially opened its doors to the public.
Tucked behind the scenes of Chattanooga’s music scene, Deadbird Studio was once a word-of-mouth sanctuary, reserved for musicians, producers, and creatives in the know.
With vintage acoustics and top-tier gear, it quietly helped shape the sound of local talent and touring artists alike.
On Friday, Songbirds welcomed the public for the very first time, hosting a special “Sneak Peek” event to kick off Make Music Day Week.
Attendees were treated to exclusive acoustic sets, behind-the-scenes tours, and a preview of this year’s Make Music Day Chattanooga artists and events.
The event also gave music lovers a chance to meet some of the city’s most exciting collaborators and partners.
Now operated by Songbirds, Deadbird Studio is being reimagined as a creative hub, with new community programming, educational opportunities, and public events that honor the space’s legendary roots.
A secret no more, Deadbird Studio is now playing a new tune, with Chattanooga’s future sound at center stage. Building up the youth and shaping the future generations of musicians.
