Death investigation in Sequatchie county

Sequatchie County, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence on Higdon Road on Saturday for an unresponsive female.

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS found a female lying on the floor when they arrived at the residence.

According to the sheriff’s department, the female was pronounced dead on the scene and an investigation is now underway to determine the cause of death.

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department is withholding her name until the family can be notified.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working with the Sequatchie County Sheriff to investigate.
