DeKalb County drug bust

SYLVANIA, Ala. (WDEF) – The DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force, Sylvania Police Department, ATF and DEA made a drug bust Friday.

The agents executed a search warrant on a home on County Road 407 in Sylvania.

They found marijuana growing at the home. Agents also discovered Drug Paraphernalia and Methamphetamine in the home.

46-year-old Eric Shane Freeman faces several charges as a result of the drug bust. His charges include Trafficking in any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm.

43-year-old Chester L. Buttram also faces several charges. He was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department officials say this has been an ongoing investigation.

They add the Drug Task Force has been following up on leads for several months now, making the arrests on Friday possible.
