Dekalb Sheriff charges husband with February murder of his wife

FT. PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – The Sheriff of Dekalb County Alabama says he has made an arrest for a murder in the Kilpatrick community on February 25th.

Fracisca Reynoso Perez was killed in what the Sheriff calls a possible home invasion.

Her husband has been held in custody since then on charges of Possession of Forged Instrument and obstructing justice.

They formally charged 33-year old Santos Mendez Amborcio with murdering his wife on Wednesday.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says “for the past several months all these agencies state, local and federal agents have worked day and night to bring this case to this point. We are still working to try to see if there were others involved that may have helped Santos hide or destroy evidence.
