Deputies arrest woman after 2 pursuits in Hamilton County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has released an update from two pursuits that led to the arrest of a Chattanooga woman.

It started on Monday, May 20.

HCSO deputies tried to stop a Nissan Sentra on Standifer Gap Road.

They identified the driver as 36-year-old, Kaitlyn Ezell.

Deputies said she was driving on a revoked license for a prior DUI conviction.

Authorities claim when they tried to stop her, she led them on a pursuit through a construction zone.

Wednesday, May 29, the same deputy found Ezell with the car in the 8200 block of Apison Pike.

She again fled the area as they tried to track her down.

Deputies say the chase ended on I-75 near the Shallowford Road Exit.

Ezell was taken to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

She faces the following charges, in addition to the prior warrants:

  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Felony Evading
  • Driving on Revoked for DUI
