Derek Roberson and Kimora Fields Win State Basketball Awards
The TSSAA handed out their annual awards on Tuesday for the best basketball players in the state.
And we had a pair of winners from the Tennessee Valley.
Chatt Prep’s Derek Roberson took home the state’s Mr. Basketball Award in Class 2-A.
It’s the first time he has won the honor after being named a finalist last year.
Roberson just topped two-thousand career points on Monday night.
And Bradley Central’s Kimora Fields has been named the Miss basketball award winner in Class 4-A.
I
t’s the second straight year she has won the award.
Fields averaged well over 30-points a game this season.
