Dietz and Watson, Food City Donate to Chattanooga Area Food Bank

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Philadelphia based Dietz and Watson, in conjunction with Food City, delivered more than one and a half tons of premium deli meats and sausages to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. They also gifted the food bank with a $2,000 check.

For the past six years, the company’s “Families Helping Families” program has resulted in donations of more than half a million dollars in cash and products to charities and food banks nationwide.

Bill Abeline, Food City Store Manager, said “It’s helping the families at the holidays, making sure that everyone has a healthy meal for the holidays and just spread that, that cheer to every family.”

Through the program, Dietz and Watson donates up to 10 cents per pound of deli meat and cheese purchased at all Food City locations.
