District Attorney Investigates Prior Allegations in Ooltewah Rape Case

Chattanooga (WDEF) – The Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office will investigate a prior incident in the Ooltewah basketball rape investigation.

The new investigation will examine whether upper classmen or former team members assaulted freshman teammates before the December incident.

No one has filed a complaint yet.

But some family members of Ooltewah freshman basketball players have talked on social media about an ongoing pattern of assaults and hazing by upper classmen.

D.A. Neal Pinkston is asking the Sheriff’s Office to look into the allegations.
