Dive Team searches car in a pond off Mountain View Road

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Traffic investigators are trying to find out how a car ended up in a pond Monday morning off of Mountain View Road.

The call came in around 8:00 AM.

Officials say the vehicle appears to have plunged into the pond sometime earlier this morning.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team has been called to check the out the pond.

They don’t know what happened to the driver.

Investigators are working the case as a traffic accident right now.

The cause is under investigation.
