Dolly Parton Stampede shooting kills one

Pigeon Forge police are investigating a fatal shooting in the parking lot of Dolly Parton’s Stampede over the weekend.
It happened about the time that the first show was finishing up on Saturday night.
Two men were in a car.
A man from Illinois says his gun went off and hit the other, killing him.
The Illinois man has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
We don’t know at this point why the gun went off or whether the two men had tickets to the Stampede.
The Stampede is a popular family dinner and western show in Pigeon Forge.
