Dollywood’s escaped bald eagle spotted near Knoxville

One of Dollywood’s escaped bald eagles is cruising through a neighborhood west of Knoxville.

“Rockland” is one of three eagles that escaped in April after a storm damaged their enclosure.

He’s been visiting homes in the Karns neighborhood for about a week now.

A resident found him in his garage Wednesday morning.

The eagles were in captivity because they were recovering from health issues.

The American Eagle Foundation has experts setting traps for Rockland in the neighborhood.

They hope to bring him back to Dollywood so he can continue healing.
