DIETZ & WATSON PREMIUM DELI MEATS AND CHEESES OF PHILADELPHIA TO PRESENT $10,500 TO THREE TENNESSEE FOOD BANKS DEC. 19 AND 20 ON BEHALF OF THEIR RETAIL SUPERMARKET PARTNER FOOD CITY

In Its 6th Year, the Program Called “Families Helping Families” Has Been Running in Stores During November and December with Dietz & Watson Donating Up to $.10 Cents Per Pound of Meats and Cheeses Purchased at Store DelisCheck was presented to three area food banks in Food City areas (Tri-Cities, Knoxville, Chattanooga) by premium deli meat and cheese company Dietz & Watson and Food City supermarkets.Families Helping Families is a Dietz & Watson charitable purchase program run in conjunction with partner supermarkets around the country that encourages consumers to purchase Dietz & Watson products at the service deli to support a local charity or organization within the retailer’s community. For every pound of Dietz & Watson meats or cheeses purchased at area Food City delis during the promotion, a donation was made to the organizations selected by Food City. The program ran in stores from Nov. 9 through Dec. 6. In the past six years, Families Helping Families has generated cash and product donations to organizations around the country of nearly $750,000.

ABOUT THE RECIPIENTS:Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee – Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee has led the effort to end hunger in Northeast Tennessee since 1986.
