Area schools receive “Food City School Bucks”
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – It’s a big day for dozens of schools in the Chattanooga, North Georgia area.
Many lined up to get a check from Food City stores to use for whatever they want or need.
Managers gathered at the Hixson store to hand out checks totaling more than 93-thousand dollars, accumulated over the last year.
It’s part of the “Food City School Bucks,” program introduced in this area last year.
Shoppers using their Value card, can designate a school to receive one school bucks reward point, for every 10 dollars spent on Food city brands.
All together, Food City distributed 700-thousand dollars to schools in the 4-state area.
