Tennessee man arrested for committing fraud through DraftKings
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) arrested a Nolensville man for committing fraud through the online sports betting platform DraftKings.
Bruce Orr faces eight charges of identity theft, following his indictment from the Williamson County Grand Jury.
Authorities began investigating in September when they noticed a large number of accounts fraudulently created under the same address.
The TBI was able to determine that Orr was responsible for these accounts.
Law enforcement booked Orr into the Williamson County Jail. They also booked him on a $35,000 bond.
The District Attorney General Kim Helper and the Tennessee Sports Wagering Advisory Council assisted the TBI in this investigation.
