Drive thru event hosted for Retired Teachers

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association held a drive through event during the rain to help spread some cheer to our local area retired teachers. 

The drive they event was for retired teachers, newly retired teachers, members and potential members of the Chattanooga Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association. 

Retired teachers could swing by and pick up a boxed lunch from Panera Bread. 

Attendees were able to renew their membership, become a new member, update their information, and meet the leadership of the association, all from the safety of their car. 

“Our purpose is to look out for senior citizens, encourage teachers who are still working and to recruit new members. We look out for the benefits for senior citizens and retired teachers in particular,” says Gwenda Gregory, President of the CHCRTA.
