Driver charged with DUI after hitting pedestrian in Catoosa County

RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident in Catoosa County Thursday night.

It happened around 9:30 PM on Sam Lewis Road.

28 year old Kimberly Diane Dotson was walking along the west edge of the road when she was hit by a pickup.

Troopers say she was thrown into the roadway and killed by the impact.

The driver of the pickup has been charged with DUI.

He is 20 year old Tyler Alexander Lemley from Signal Mountain.

The investigation is continuing.
