Driving Our Economy Forward: Nokian Tyres Announcement

DAYTON, Tenn. (WDEF) — Nokian Tyres is out with some new tires that can give drivers a safe and smooth ride year-round, during all kinds of weather, in all four seasons.

Let’s see how Nokian is driving our economy forward.

“In the five stories beneath me, we are formulating the rubber compounds that help craft tires that are tailored to the needs of north American drivers,” said West Boling, Senior Communications Manager. “That includes a tire we are proud to introduce to you today. It’s a product that aims to address a problem, unpredictable weather in North America.”

“As the inventor and leader in the all-weather category, we are embarking on a new journey to help retailers and consumers alike recognize the benefits of all-weather tires,” said Hans Dyhrman, Director of Marketing. “In early October, we launched the first annual all-weather week, gaining exposure not just from Nokian Tyres, but embraced by the tire trades as they recognize the interest that dealers have in growing all weather tire sales.”

“We have some Nokian WRG5s,” said Kyle Conner, Nokian Tyres Ambassador. “In this case, the car is running a slight staggered setup. But I want to talk to you a bit about this tire. In general, this tire comprises amazing water shedding capabilities. You can see these two deep grooves that really help get the water out of the way. And on either side of these deep grooves, you’ll notice that the tire looks fundamentally different on each side. Now what’s essentially happening here is on the outer portion of the tire you have something similar to a three season all season tire. A little bit more focused for high performance driving, get a little bit better steering response, less tire flop, and that you can really dig into this tire. These are also directional tires that are designed for water beating. You’ll see they have this snowflake right here and some depth gauge as well. And then this side of the tire is actually pretty close to a standard winter tire, if you will. So, this is what’s going to give you all of that snow and ice traction, tread blocks designed to really hold in snow.”

“As we build awareness of the new remedy family, we will also continue to lead the industry in educating consumers about the benefits of all-weather driving,” Dyhrman said. “Over the next six months, we will launch the new Nokia tires Remedy WRG5.
