Driving Our Economy Forward: Street Quesadilla
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Mexican food is always a hot commodity in the Tennessee Valley.
It’s especially convenient when the restaurant is on four wheels.
Let’s look at how Street Quesadilla is literally driving our economy forward.
“I wanted to do a restaurant so I needed to start from somewhere,” said Owner Ginnette Reyes. “This is my own seasoning, OK? Everyone has their own seasoning. I go to the people, I go to them. Bring my own customers, and once I have my front store then I can bring everybody into.”
And Reyes says her food truck has gotten rave reviews.
“They love me. They love my food. They love everything that I do. People appreciate what we do for, you know, for them, and so it’s very satisfying,” she said. “The best about it? To have my own schedule. That was the main goal, to have a name brand.”
Reyes says it’s a tough job, but she loves it.
“It’s hard, but it’s satisfying,” she said. “Yes, it really is. It’s a lot of work. Sometimes you don’t sleep, sometimes you have to do everything, and or do it all, and then at the end of the day, it’s gonna be very satisfying. We do festivals, we do parties, we do weddings, graduations, offices, we go to employees of the month for companies. And I invite you to come see me. Follow me on Facebook at Street Quesadilla.
